Prader Alm 🇮🇹 | From Fragges through a snowy landscape

Looking for fresh Alpine air and stunning scenery? This circular hike in Stilfserjoch National Park delivers it all—forests, meadows, and wildlife! Starting at the “Fragges” wildlife reserve, the trail winds through lush forests and across the Platzbach stream before ascending steeply to the Prader Alm at 2,051 m. In just 1.5 hours, you’re rewarded with breathtaking views of the Ortler mountain.

From there, it’s a short hike to the Furkelhütte mountain hut, where you can savor hearty meals on the sun terrace with panoramic views of towering 3,000-meter peaks. The return route retraces your steps, offering a chance to soak in the beauty once more.

We stopped at Prader Alm due to some unexpected snowy challenges (snow in the shoes, not fun!). Better gear up properly, I guess.
